Audio guides
Dear Guests,
In our effort to provide you with the highest possible quality services, the Visitor’s Centre in Nový Jičín has acquired audio guides, which will make it easier for you to orientate yourself and will enhance your experience of the tour. As well as the Hat Exhibition and the General Laudon Exhibition, these devices will also guide you to important historic sights in Nový Jičín and will provide you with a wide range of interesting information, not only about the history of the town, but also about the varied and important tradition of hat-making in the Nový Jičín Region, which is also linked to the Technoroute project. There are a total of 20 audio guides available and each of them can be set to provide a commentary in Czech, English or Polish.
You can borrow the audio guide for touring the Hat Exhibition and the General Laudon Exhibition free of charge at the Visitor’s Centre, after submitting proof of identity and signing a loan agreement, always during the centre’s opening hours, which are year-round on working days from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on weekends and holidays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
If you wish to borrow an audio guide for a guided tour outside the building of the Visitor’s Centre, you must provide a refundable deposit in the value of CZK 300 per item. We will refund the deposit when you return the undamaged audio guide to our Tourist Information Centre – Nový Jičín Visitor’s Centre branch. Payment of the refundable deposit in cash only.
The maximum period for which you can borrow the audio guide is 1 day. The borrower is required to provide compensation for destruction, loss, theft or other damages caused to the audio guide within 10 days of receiving the invoice and the request for payment.
This project was co-financed from the budget of the Moravian-Silesian Region.
