The chapel, more than a century old, stands at the very top of Mount Radhošt'. At first it had the form of a stone building with white plaster and a dome in Byzantine style. Above the entrance to the temple, the inscription 'Love one another, Slavs, and unite in the faith proclaimed here by Saints Cyril and Methodius' was displayed. Their sculpture, which was created by Albín Polášek, stands near the church. It exudes brotherhood and the desire for unity. The veined hands of the saints show that they are both men of work. In the open book held by St. Cyril, we read in Glagolitic script the beginning of the Gospel of St. John: "In the beginning was the Word". The wooden bell tower with a shingle roof was added in 1924 when the chapel was completely renovated; at that time, the entire chapel was clad with impregnated shingles. The Chapel of Saints Cyril and Methodius is one of the highest church buildings in the Czech Republic.
