The chapel, built in 1866, commemorates the saint Jan Sarkander, who lived in Příbor for some time and attended the parish school here. According to the legend, he drilled a hole in the ground with a knife and immediately filled it with water with healing effects. In front of the chapel there is a fountain called "The Spring of Living Water of St. John Sarkander", which was built by the City of Olomouc in 2007 to commemorate the canonization of St. John in Olomouc by Pope John Paul II, now also a saint, on 21 May 1995.
