In August 2014, the DiscGolfPark on Bocheta (near B. Martinů Street) was opened in Nový Jičín, where the general public can come to try this sport at any time. At our Tourist Information Centre, we will be happy to lend you flying discs for this outdoor activity, which is suitable for all ages. The sport of disc golf is derived from classic golf. Each player tries to use the disc to hit the basket in as few attempts as possible. The area where the disc is thrown and the disc golf basket is called the hole. There are a total of nine holes at the DiscGolfPark, and therefore nine throwing areas and nine baskets. There are also information boards at the tee box describing the rules of the game and indicating the optimal throwing route.

Disc rental at the Tourist Information Centre

Discs for disc golf can be rented at the Nový Jičín Visitor Centre upon presentation of an identity card, a refundable deposit, signing a rental contract and a handover protocol during the Visitor Centre's opening hours (NCNJ).

Opening hours of the Visitor Centre in Nový Jičín: all year round, Mon-Fri from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sat-Sun from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Price: rental of any number of discs for one day is 30 CZK, refundable deposit for one disc is 200 CZK, payment is possible only in cash

The maximum loan period is three days.

Selection of discs: customers can choose from 45 discs in four weight categories (140-150g, 170-172g, 173-175g and 176-180g)
